Timing belt replacement, things to consider

Brake repair helps keep our cars running at their best and is just as important a component of a good car maintenance program as regular oil changes or engine tune ups. The telltale squeaks and squeals that alert us to the need for brake repair are really letting us know that our brakes have been doing the job they were designed for. Our car's brake wear indicators are intended to call our attention to the need for brake repair by scraping against the turning rotor when they wear down, but are you aware of the other signals of the need for brake repair? For example, brake lights should not illuminate unless the parking brake is engaged. If a brake light does come on when the parking brake is disengaged, it's time to have the brake fluid level checked. Low levels of brake fluid will cause the brake light to illuminate.
