I now pay professional people to move me, which makes my friends and me very happy. It is expensive, though, and you have to have your act together. You can save some money by having everything packed when the movers get there, or pay more and have them do everything. It is a whirlwind of chaos, no matter what you choose. If you decide to pack everything yourself, the movers will arrive and start packing anything they see.
