A hand written, personalized line or two that specifically mentions the giver and the gift will mean an awful lot to the recipient. Be sincere, too, even if you do not like the gift. Its the thought and the time taken to select or make it that counts and should be acknowledged. It would be a good idea, too, to mention how much you enjoyed spending time with that guest at your shower. And dont forget that the hosts deserve special recognition for the time and effort they put into throwing you a shower.
